Level up your sewing skills and make a cute clutch bag! This beginner-friendly sewing project will teach you how to use interfacing and install magnetic bag clasps. If you are new to sewing and want to practice and develop their skills before moving onto more challenging projects, this is a great learning project. Joan will guide you through reading a pattern, layout for optimal fabric usage, and grainline.
After this class you will have a better knowledge of fabrics and sewing terminology.
Materials required:
*a cute piece of woven fabric at least 6” by 12”. To stand in for the blue and pink floral fabric in the picture to contrast with the blue denim that will be provided.
*Sewing machine
*Scissors
*Measuring tape or ruler
*Marking tools, please feel free to use your favorite. I like pencils or tailors chalk
*Pins or clips
